ランニングのフォームを解説する動画で、手の指について “You don’t want them super clenched, you don’t want them poker straight” という表現が出てきました（5分46秒辺りから）。

ここにある “poker straight (poker-straight)” の意味は辞書には見当たらないものの、文脈から「（ガチガチに）まっすぐ」だと推測できます。

調べてみると “poker straight” は髪質を形容する用例が中心的で、 “poker” の由来はカードゲームのポーカーではなく、（硬く真っ直ぐな）火かき棒のようです。

"Her hair switches between its natural waves and *poker straight* honey blonde."

Poker in this instance doesn't refer to the game, but to the long and straight iron stick/tisonnier you use to stir a fire.
