Note 1
  Japanese pronunciation of "u" has the following features:
    1. The lips are less rounded (almost neutral, close to schwa);
    2. The back of tongue is raised to the velum.
  The latter feature is weakend after alveolar consonants.

Note 2
  "[" means rise in pitch(F0) and "]" fall.
  The former belongs to the phrase and dissapears elsewhere than the phrase head.
  The latter belongs to individual words and is maintained anywhere.
  This feature is of Tokyo Japanese and not same with some other dialects of Japanese.

Note 3
  "σ" means a syllable. It may contain two morae (μ)
  and in this case "σ]" is realized as μ]μ.
