サイクリストがダンプカーとの衝突で死亡しました。
同路線上での死亡事故はこれで3件目になります。
今回はまだ発生直後なので詳細な事故状況は明らかになっていません。

Third cyclist killed on London Cycle Superhighway, tipper lorry involved
It comes just one day before the eastern extension of CS2 from Bow to Stratford is due to open.
The new route incorporates safety features including kerbed cycle lanes that have been welcomed by cycle campaigners but which are missing from the existing route – described by a police accident investigator at the inquest into Mr Dorling’s death as “just a piece of blue paint.”
翌日にはCS2の延伸区間——事故を受けて縁石で区分する構造に変更——
が供用開始されるというタイミングでの事故でした。

Mile End death cyclist named; another critical after coach crash
The collision happened at the junction of Mile End Road
and Bancroft Road at aboyut 4:50 on Tuesday afternoon.
Witnesses said the lorry struck Mr Holt after pulling away
from traffic lights at the junction.
衝突は Mile End 通りと Bancroft 通りの交差点で、
火曜日の午後4時50分頃に起こった。複数の目撃証言によれば、
ダンプカーが交差点の信号から発車する際に
ホウルト氏の自転車を撥ねたという。
The Metropolitan police believe that the lorry was
not turning at the time of the collision.
ロンドン警視庁は、ダンプカーが
衝突の時点では転回していなかったと見ている。
Motiur Khan, 22, told the Evening Standard: “The lorry
was behind the cyclist and sort of went into the back of him.
He hit the cyclist who went under the lorry which just ran over
and crushed him.”
モウティウル・カーン（22）は、イヴニン・スタンダード紙の取材に対し、
「ダンプカーはサイクリストの後ろに居て、彼の背後から衝突する形だった。
撥ねられたサイクリストはそのままダンプカーに轢き潰された」と答えた。

片側二車線で、左端の車線の半分が青く塗られています。
法的にも実態的にも自転車レーンではなく、
単なる目安に過ぎないと批判されている構造ですね。
